I was just reading through a few blogs this morning...I am seriously behind!...when I ran across one where the author had made a list of New Year's resolutions for the people in her life! Now there is a New Year's tradition I could get into!!! lol!!!
It's always so easy to find the faults in others and know just what it would take to make improvements that would make the world a better place for everyone.
Smokers would no longer smoke! Drinkers would no longer drink! There would be no drug abuse!
You see, I have no desire to do any of those things. They don't appeal to me and it is so simple for me to just say, "No!"
And even overeating is such a simple matter when it is someone else who is doing the overeating.
Even though I share in the problem, I can usually find some way that I deal with it better than the next guy...I don't eat after dinner...I don't binge...I don't eat THAT much!!!
How nice it would be if I could just solve the problems of all those other people!
I think I'm going to make that list right now!

Yes, I can relate! My brother-in-law told me the other night that I lack determination. In the interest of future family harmony (he is after all my sister's husband) I didn't tell him that he lacked intelligence. But it was close!
People have no idea about our problems and we can't relate to theirs...
Oh, wow! I've always been afraid that if I ever opened that door that it would never close again! lol! Family just has to be off limits, doesn't it?
You are too funny! Lately I've been realizing all the things in my kids that totally irritate me...have been passed down to them from ME!
That is too true, isn't it???
As an ex-smoker, I wish getting rid of the lbs. would be as easily. If I never again binged and ate nothing after dinner (or only fruit and the like), I'd get rid of 80% of the pathological ways that I deal with food.
Arlene...It's different for each one of us, isn't it?
It is funny, but scary too. What if someone else just handed us an envelope and said , "This is what you will change this year." I don't know about you, but I would do the exact opposite probably. I guess that is why it never works to tell my kids what to do. Oh, but if they would only listen to me I could fix them. Not.
My resolution this year is to save a tree lol I like yours, you're too funny :)
Grammy...My kids would definitely tell me where I could store those resolutions!!! lol
Lorraine...Any particular tree you have in mind???
Girl this post cracked me up. How funny!! Thanks for the thought.
Happy New Year, JC!
Any tree at all anywhere in the world ;)
